Export any dictionary as a print-ready PDF or an editable DOCX, then follow four simple steps below to end up with real flashcards you can cut, shuffle, and carry around.
Double-sided printing is the one step almost every home setup trips over — the back comes out mirrored, upside down, or a few millimeters off. Every export adds a small corner number, mirrored to match your printer's flip side, so you can hold the finished sheet up to the light and see at a glance whether it printed right — before you cut a single card.
After each card, just say whether you knew it. Dictarium uses that to steer review time toward the words you’re actually shaky on, not the ones you’ve already got. Want more nuance? A 4-point scale — Again, Hard, Good, Easy — is one toggle away in settings.
A word doesn’t sound the same everywhere — Dictarium gives you real voices to choose from instead of one flat default: American or British English, Latin American Spanish, Brazilian Portuguese, and more. Pick the one you want once, and every card plays it back that way from then on.
A screen isn't always the right tool: studying before bed without more blue light, spreading cards across a desk the night before an exam, or handing a stack to a classroom that doesn't have a device each. The export uses the exact same words, images, and examples already in your dictionary — not a stripped-down summary — so the cards in your hand match what's in the app.
Open any dictionary, choose Flashcards, and export as PDF or DOCX. Pick double-sided, folded, or single-sided, plus A4 or Letter.
Print the PDF double-sided — or open the DOCX first if you want to tweak the layout, then save it back to PDF.
Hold the sheet up to the light. A small mirrored number in each corner tells you it printed correctly the moment the two numbers overlap.
Cut along the guide lines — or skip them if you're using pre-perforated cardstock — and start shuffling through a real stack of cards.
